John Caulfield was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He studied at the University of Cape Town where he obtained a degree in English and a post graduate degree in Law. He was later admitted as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of South Africa and was prosecutor in a number of high-profile criminal trials including murder and armed robbery.
John is passionate about literature, music and boxing. His first novel, The Atom Heart Murders, won first prize in the UK magazine, Writers’ Forum, and his second novel, In All My Sad Dreaming, was shortlisted for Foreword Clarion Review’s Book of the Year Award. The Man Who Remembered is his fourth novel.
John currently lives in the UK.
